The best youth soccer training programme is also based at the highest regarded sports and recreation PIASLC facility.   World-renowned BSS is based upon Futebol de Salao (FDS).  The training and game is characterized as a 5-a-side version of soccer with origins in Brazil.  FDS is played with a smaller (size 2), and a little heavier (465gm) ball that has virtually no bounce to it. 

The PIASLC has also announced an association with the US-based IronKids programme. This  affiliation will focus on bringing four junior Triathlon events each year as well as training camps for youth aged between 6 and 15.

The PIASLC  has appointed former professional tennis player David Roberts as Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations at the expansive Phuket, Thailand sports centre.  David brings experience in both operations and pre-openings.  He has run elite private sports clubs while with Centara Hotels and Resorts Group.  When the PIASLC completes preparations in November and starts into full operations he will be primarily focusing on the co-ordination between club services, sports academies and membership programmes.

As part of a total commitment to sports excellence the PIAMC has started to deliver training in the cultivation of cognitive and emotional balance.   The PIAMC will  offer  a combination of contemporary psychology and neuroscience together with ancient Asian contemplative practices.  Featuring accessibility, the PIAMC conducts retreats and seminars.     It teaches the practice of “mindfulness of breathing”, which is an effective way for relaxing the body and calming the mind.
