Spanish/Portuguese Bid Edges Ahead For 2018

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

If you’re hoping 2018 will bring a summer of international Football to your backyard, you may be better off moving, if rumours circulating in Zurich, headquarters of Fifa, are to believed.

It may just be Portugal mortgages for the Football hardcore if a note intercepted between the Spanish member Angel Villar Llona and Qatar member Mohamaed Bin Hammam is to be believed. The note, with the words ‘vamos a ganar’ (we are going to win), is being interpreted as proof of the two countries’ collusion over the two World Cup slots in 2018 and 2022: Qatar is said to be helping Spain/Portugal to winning the bid for 2018 in return for a leg up in their 2022 bid. Fifa however has dropped all promise of action over the supposed activity.

England’s bid is now viewed as being a distant outsider, with the Portuguese / Spanish bid and a Russian bid gaining rapid popularity. The English bid has suffered in the wake of newspaper investigations into Fifa conduct. Reporters posed as a party interested in bring the World Cup to the United States, and managed to catch the Nigerian and Tahitian members pledging votes in return for bribes.

David Cameron has pledged to help repair English fortunes, and has been lobbying his fellow world leaders at the G20 world summit, Seoul. Mr Cameron intends to fly out to Zurich to speak with Fifa leaders. Time will be tight ahead of the December 2nd vote that will finally decide the hosts for 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Hosting the World Cup is seen as particularly appealing to the Island Nation, which will have made significant infrastructure improvements in the run up to its hosting of the 2012 Olympics.

The Spanish and English would be hosting their second world cups (1982 and 1966 respectively) but the Portuguese half brings a freshness to the bid. As reigning World Champions, the Spanish are doubly popular for selection as future World Cup hosts. Considering how likely it now seem that the World Cup will travel South for 2018, it’s unsuprising to see so many English people looking up the strange art of Portuguese property finance.

Is Soccer Coming Dwelling

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

betting tipsters

The English football staff have managed to reach the quarter finals of the Fifa World Cup, will this finally be the yr that soccer comes back home for the primary time since 1966? Despite not playing their finest football, England are still in the event and will need to have an awesome probability of lifting the trophy.

Some may say that I’m biased as I’m from England myself and am an avid England supporter, however I really feel that 2006 could possibly be the year for our boys out there in Germany. This will likely after all be all blown away on Saturday when the group face Portugal and big Phil Scolari. Scolari has been the manager of the final two teams who’ve knocked England out of the final main tournaments and therefore will pose a giant threat to my team. He was the manager of the Brazil team that beat England within the 2002 World Cup and he was and nonetheless is the manager of the Portugal crew that beat England within the 2004 European Championship. I am hoping that will probably be third time fortunate for the English this year.

To say that England are yet to peak is a little bit of an understatement as they’ve in reality been well under par. This might however be fairly a superb thing, how many occasions have Germany scraped by to the ultimate stages of the tournament without thrilling the crowds?

With Wayne Rooney changing into stronger and fitter this must be the most effective alternative that England has had for quite some time. There are lots of leaders and potential captains within the English team. Players like John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard would all make worthy captains when David Beckham decides to give up this role. As well as potential captains, these gamers are also what I call winners and when push comes to shove hopefully will ship the goods.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany may show to be the most important dangers to England. After a slow begin Ronaldo seems to have found his scoring boots again and the Brazil staff has some nice gamers everywhere in the park. I’ve to say that I am getting fairly bored of them winning nevertheless, absolutely its the flip of England this time around.

Germany have performed some nice soccer on their residence turf and appear to build up a head of steam. They could show fairly troublesome to stop and at all times seem to do effectively within the World Cup.

Many people would argue that Argentina have in all probability played the best football up to now and that they are worthy favourites. I must agree with this and just hope that they’ve peaked too soon.

It actually could be an amazing summer time in England if our crew can bring soccer residence to where it belongs this year. Good luck England.

Where Will Italy Look For The Next World Cup?

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Italian Marcelo Lippi has faced a number of soccer pundit jokes this season due to the age of his team.  The Italian team is undoubtedly old, with 30-year old Vincenzo Iaquinta, 31 year-old Andrea Pirlo, 32 year olds Gianluigi Buffon, Gennaro Guttuso, and Antonio Di Natale, 33 year-olds Mauro Camoranesi and Gianluca Zambrotta, and 36-year old Fabio Cannavaro all likely to have to be replaced by Lippi or Azzuri’s next manager by the Brazilian World Cup in 2014.

Lorenzo De Silvestri    Defender     (Fiorentina)    Aged 22
De Silvestri, a former full back for Lazio, is slightly over six feet tall.  Since his move to Fiorentina in 2009, De Silvestri has rediscovered his best form that saw him represent Italy at every age range from Under 16 through to the U21 side. De Silvestri’s power as a fullback may end up earning him a position on the national team in place of Zambrotta.

Davide Santon        Defender    (Inter)        Aged 19
Santon, who played for Inter in 28 games and Azzuri in five, has set himself apart as an excellent defender with an ability to play either flank with ease. Santon’s energy is boundless; his energy on the pitch has earned him a comparison to Paolo Maldini by Italian head coach Marcelo Lippi. We can expect to see the immensely talented Santon in the Italy’s next few squads for major finals events.

Mario Balotelli        (Striker)    (Inter)        Aged 19
Mario Batelli, though prone to fights and poor sportsmanship, may be one of the best attackers or wingers wearing the Italy soccer kit in upcoming games.  Batelli’s run-ins with both fans and management only serve to distract from his excellent record: the player scored twenty goals in 59 games and notched 6 and 16 for the U21 Italian set. Batelli is sure to see the Euro 2012 qualifiers, when the Italian team will be looking for a new strike force.

Federico Macheda    (Striker)    (Man Utd)    Aged 18
A fiercely underrated player that has yet to regularly make the first team at Old Trafford, Macheda is set to have a great next season and catch they eye of Azzuri management. The striker’s strength and intelligence make him a force to be reckoned with, especially in terms of goal scoring. His particular talent is scoring with his back to the goal, and he has been capped at U21 for Italy; if Macheda makes a difference in the first team for United, he should end up with a spot on the Italian national squad.

Antonio Candreva    (Midfielder)    Udinese    Aged 23
Candreva just may be the only replacement for Italy’s great Andrea Pirlo. The Udinese midfielder, who is being touted as making his loan move during last season to Juventus more permanent, is versatile enough to play anywhere in midfield but seems to excel in the holding, creative role so favoured by Pirlo.

Benefits Of Having The Internet During The World Cup

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Spain vs Germany 2010

During last nights semi final game featuring the current european champions Spain vs Germany who have just got better throughout the tournament, I decided to watch this imprtant game with my spanish relative who was not only excited about the game but who clearly thought he was actually there in the South Africa amongst the crowd.

During the half time break I couldn’t help but notice how many tv adverts have got behind marketing the World Cup, and how they have used internet as a key tool for fans throughout the world, offering services such match replays, up to date facts and figures of the tournament so far. I even joined an online forum to discuss my own views and who I thought would win the competition.

As thousands of people flock to South Africa for the football World Cup we see a huge rise in economy growth and possible boost in future tourism.

Online retaillers have made good use of the internet whilst the World Cup has been on television. Making sure that there site is fully working with SEO to achieve the most custom and sales. Just think how many of those fly sounding trumpets they have sold in South Africa and over the internet. I has certainly made the vuvuzela a well known instrument!

I had a friend who flew down to Durban to visit his mother and watch the Spain vs Switzerland game during his visit, I did mention to him that from what I saw on the television it was the most spectacular stadium I had ever seen, more so than I have ever seen over here in the U.K.

My friend predicts that the Netherlands are in for winning the world cup, because he has holland in the sweepstake at the Ecommerce website design business he works at.

Some of the football sites also have some fantastic web design too!
